Successful chapters use newsletters, brochures upon other forms of documentation to get messages across to others in addition to documenting the history, operations and proceedings of the chapter. Neglecting the need to be consistently in contact with undergraduate members, alumni and the International organization will have its negative consequences.

It is important to first note whether you chapter has a communication plan? Are the advisers/alumni/International staff regularly contacted? Do they feel like they can contact you at any given time?
